Karnataka High Court Clears the Path for PSI Re-examination
Bengaluru: In a significant development, the Karnataka High Court has dismissed the petitions of several selected candidates challenging the state government’s decision to conduct a re-examination for PSI (Police Sub-Inspector) posts due to irregularities in the examination process, reported various media houses.
The news websites reported that the court has upheld the directive issued by the previous BJP-led state government for a re-examination. A division bench comprising Justice P.S. Dinesh Kumar and Justice T.G. Shivashankare Gowda passed the order while dismissing petitions filed by some of the candidates. It rejected the candidates’ plea to avoid re-examination and nullify the government’s order and publish the list excluding the tainted candidates. The trial concluded earlier, and the verdict was scheduled for November 10, as reported by various sources.
